April – May 2008 ABC News, Melbourne: Internship
- Observation of all operations in the ABC newsroom, covering all news media.
- Attending media conferences and doorstops and accompanying reporters when they left the office to follow breaking stories.
- Attending the gangland trial of Evangelos Goussis as an ABC representative on behalf of the ABC court reporter.
- Writing to the standard of the ABC. Resulting in my story on the Melbourne Cup airing as official ABC news output on Melbourne’s 774 hourly news bulletin.
August 2008 Walkley Foundation for Journalism, Sydney: Internship
- Writing media releases, conducting interviews and writing material for the Walkley Foundation organisation and website.
- Proof reading articles to be published in the Walkley Magazine.
- Writing an article on a collective agreement struck between a Sydney Theatre Company and the Arts Alliance union. Published in the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance magazine.
- Liaising with speakers for media conferences, and writing introductory notes for speakers at media conferences.
March 2009 - Present Walkley Foundation for Journalism: Freelance
- Assistance with the organisation of the 12th Annual Freelance Journalist Convention in Melbourne. Contributing to the live blog running throughout the day.
- Official Walkley photographer and event reporter at the Sisters in Crime book launch of Outside The Law 3.
- Assistant at the inaugural ‘Melbourne Photographers Slide Night’.
- Assistant organiser at the 2009 Walkley Awards National Finalist Announcement on October 14.
August 2009 - Present Asylum Seekers Resource Centre: Web designer and content writer
- Interviewing asylum seekers, workers and volunteers for articles published on the ASRC website.
- Writing biographical articles on asylum seekers.
- Compiling information, designing layout and writing content for the new ASRC website.·
- Writing informative material for outside party’s and organisations interested in the ASRC.
2004 - Present Kouark Winery: Marketing and Website Construction
- Designing and making their website (www.kouark.com.au), including writing introductions and product descriptions
- Writing descriptions and blurbs to appear on wine bottles, as well as advertisements for local newspapers

Other Skills
I am computer literate and am able to use a wide range of programs, as well as being quick to learn new software. I have played the violin since I was six years old and played league soccer since the age of seven. In conjunction to this I have enjoyed travelling throughout Asia and Europe, where I had the opportunity to complete my university degree in England. I enjoy working towards a goal and being part of an interesting and dynamic team.
